Nylon Rope is a quick and economic way to secure items in the back of a moving rental truck or storage container. Rope is versatile, has a little bit of give to yield to the item below and
is easy to use. Synthetic rope, like nylon rope, is strong and resistant to the elements unlike natural rope made of cotton or hemp. Nylon rope resists rot, mildew and is more durable in
reuse situations. Purchase rope and cut to customize tie down options for items you are securing.
NOTE: Nylon rope can fray after cutting but a quick pass under a lighter can refasten the cut end.
- Nylon Rope (Use for in-town or short hauls)
- Bungee Cords (Use with Cargo Racks)
- Ratchet Straps (Secure cargo inside Rental Trucks or Storage Containers)
- CAM Straps (Secure cargo inside Rental Trucks or Storage Containers)
- Forearm Forklift (Easily Lift heavy hard to move items)
Rope can be used in more than securing moving boxes and furniture in moving trucks or storage containers like PODS or 1-800-PACKRAT, it can also be used to bundle items together. Secure
long-handled garden tools with a quick knot to keep from sliding all over the place. Create a custom tensioned corner of the moving truck where you can add and remove the same tools. Simply
tie two pieces of rope diagonally across a corner and stack long-handled items behind.
When moving items using a rental truck or storage container, using rope is an economical way to keep items in place during transit. Avoid items from shifting by creating a web every few feet
inside your storage container or rental truck. Simply anchor one end of the rope to the
highest point of a vertical beam and again at the lowest point of the
opposite beam. Creating a crisscross pattern every few feet will prevent items from shifting or falling on other valuable belongings. Keeping items secure will help ensure they arrive
damage free to their distention.
Nylon rope absorbs very little water so it’s ideal for moving in inclement weather without immediately damaging items below. It also has a low surface abrasion tendency, keeping the rope
strong from beginning to end of a project. Nylon is also able to absorb big shock loads without snapping or breaking.
